Biomimetic strategy has been one of the most powerful tool to understand the structure and function of biomolecules. At PMC Lab, we are trying to develop Hybrid peptides and mimics to overcome the inherent shortcomings associated with natural peptides.

We are also working on molecular self-assembly, which is the fundamental design process by which nature generates a broad range of complex molecular structures responsible for the majority of biological events. We are specifically interested in hybrid peptide and peptidomimetic-based self-assembly systems, which have started to gain considerable attention owing to their inherent advantages such as bio-compatibility, polymorphic richness, and precise control over resulting nanostructure, to name a few.
